This case fits well and works well on my D5500 - the screen protects that come with it are nice. I've used it on 2 separate wooded hikes and it protected the camera as I would expect. You can access all the controls for the camera without issue. I've rated it based on the quality that I think it deserves and for purposes of adding an extra layer of protection to your camera, I would recommend it - but it does add some bulk to the camera.
